Created in 1960, the "Ensemble vocal de Cannes" is an association working under the law of 1901. Today, it's composed by about fifty members who like choir songs and try to promote a good quality music. Since September 2001, we have a new choir-master : Patrick Clette who manage the rehearsals and the concerts. He gives us enough motivation to succeed in our musical advendure.
Each year, we do about ten concerts (in France) for many events : Forum chorales, Fête de la Musique, Rétina ...
With other choirs, we exchange about our cultures, finishing the exchange by shared concerts. During those exchanges, we sung with french choirs : the "Choeurs Universitaires de Nice", the "Chœur Philharmonique de Nice", the "Maîtrise de la Cathédrale Sainte-Réparate de Nice", the "chorales Cantoria de Vence / Tourrettes sur Loup", the "Cantarella de Beausoleil", the "Sola Voce de Roquebrune / Cap Martin", the "Choeur du pays mentonnais". We sung with foreign choirs too : the "Chœur Neil-Michaud de Moncton" (Canada), the "Kammerkoor de Tallinn" (Estonia), the Man Choir of Cunéo" (Italy), the "Chœur de l'Eglise Orthodoxe de Brasov" (Roumania), the "chorale liceul de arta de Targu Mures" (Roumania).
These exchanges are really rewarding both on the music and the relationship. And such memories we got from those trips!
Our song are various and touch every king of the choir music, from classical to contemporary music.
